Body Image
Body image is how we think and feel about ourselves physically and how we believe others see us. During adolescence and puberty, your brain and body go through huge changes. Your brain will release hormones which make you more aware of how you look, and more aware of other people's bodies. These changes happen to everyone but, despite this, they can still make you worried or anxious - and that is perfectly normal and okay!

However, if you are feeling worried, here are some strategies to help. Keep scrolling for resources and videos on this topic.
Remember, if you are still worried, TALK - to a parent, friend, teacher, tutor, head of year or school counsellor. Or why not email askaway@guildfordhigh.co.uk Don't be embarrassed and please don't ever feel alone in trying to deal with unwanted emotions yourself.
It is important to acknowledge the role that social media can have in how we perceive our physical appearance. Take control and be critical of who and what you let influence your thoughts and behaviours.
